Updates Galore!

First of all, I want to apologize to you all for our lack of episode 7. I’m in the process of moving, and Trevor is in the process of being in California for a while, and it’s just been impossible to coordinate. We’re planning on recording sometime after July 4th. Episode 7 will be about the novel The Road by Cormac McCarthy and the film Life Is Beautiful.
We will then get episode 8 recorded and published only a week after that. So you’ll need to get a head start on the novel Watership Down by Richard Adams and the film Braveheart. Again, this will be out toward the tail end of July.
Also, there have been updates made to our Future Episodes page. We had planned on devoting the month of August to the His Dark Materials Trilogy by Philip Pullman, but we decided that it would probably be more appropriate to discuss the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer to coincide with the release of her newest novel, Breaking Dawn, which is due to be released on August 2. Due to the book series’ incredible popularity (I know there’s a hoard of Twi-hards out there!), we bumped it up and moved the His Dark Materials discussion to the beginning of 2009.
Thanks everyone!

Happy Birthday, Jon!

We have another birthday! Our beloved (yet sadly recently absent) Jonathan turns 24 today! Here’s hoping that he has/had a great day of celebration, possibly including Buffalo Wild Wings.
On a similar note, I am SO SORRY that the Caspian episode hasn’t been released yet. I have been working like crazy, but tomorrow I should be able to devote time to finishing up the editing! Thank you all for being so patient.

Happy Birthday, Trevor!

I would like to take the time to wish our beloved Trevor a very happy 25th birthday! I wouldn’t be able to run this podcast without him, and I’m sure we all appreciate the wonderful things he has to say during each episode!
(That being said, I’m sorry to inform that the podcast will be late this time again! I’m sure everyone understands this busy time of year! We’re working out the kinks, I promise.)

Happy Mother’s Day!

We here at WT would like to wish all the mothers out there a very special Mother’s Day!
Because of this special day (and some scheduling conflicts), Episode 5 of the podcast will be a little late this week. We are recording on Tuesday, which means that the final product should hopefully be out by Thursday. Sorry for the delay! Episode 6 should still come out as scheduled, though.

Congratulations, Jeff!

Our very own Jeff Staib tied the knot yesterday! (Note his unbridled excitement.) It was a lovely ceremony (and might hold the record for the shortest ever). We here at WT wish him and his new wife, Carrie, nothing but happiness!

Welcome!
Oh man, oh man! We finally have our own website!!!! Can you feel the excitement?!?!?! (I can’t say that Trevor and Jon are as excited as I am.)
From now on, this will be our home base. We will probably still check the xanga from time to time, but we’re officially moving everything over here.
Go ahead and click around! We have our episodes accessible under the “Podcasts” link above. Our community outlets are located under the “Links” category on our right-hand side bar.
That’s it for now. We’ll probably be getting episode 4 out sometime next weekend. For those that are new, we will be discussing the book The Giver by Lois Lowry and the film The Truman Show starring Jim Carrey.
Until next time…
